This stevia recipe is one of my all-time favorites. Not only is it extremely easy, super healthy, and delicious, it’s very versatile. Greek Yogurt is a natural probiotic and excellent for the stomach. Traditional yogurt has an extremely high sugar content and truly takes away from all the amazing health benefits Greek Yogurt offers. That is why I always choose unsweetened types.
This recipe can start your day with a protein packed “BANG” or end the day with a dessert tasting treat. I eat this for breakfast nearly every day! Of course, your kids will love it as a snack and you can feel great giving it to them! Without further hesitation, I give you:
Yogurt Apple Pie
½ Grated Apple (preferable Organic tart variety)
¾ C. Unsweetened Greek Yogurt
2 Smidgen spoons of Stevia Select pure stevia powder
Cinnamon to taste (I use about ¼ teaspoon)
Small Squeeze of fresh Lemon juice (optional)
Mix all ingredients. Top with flax seed, chia seeds, chopped almonds, home-made granola, or steel cut oats.
Substitute apples with fresh fruit. Chop ¼ - ½ C. peaches, strawberries, raspberries, or mangoes. The possibilities are endless! I sometimes add cottage cheese to give a unique texture and chewiness.
